No matter which country they belong to, no matter what age group they belong to, no matter which social, economic or cultural strata they belong to, the one thing women world over are united in, is their love for SHOPPING ! This is as universal among women as the absence of the “Y” factor in their 23rd pair !
Be it the mall-sales in the US of A or the weekly markets in 'apna' Delhi or the village fairs in 80% of our country's land, there is no dearth of excitement among the women who come there to shop....
It is not the end-result but the act itself that is thoroughly enjoyable...So much so that it has even been deemed as “therapeutic” by modern-day psychologists !!
Walking in and out of a dozen shops, haggling for discounts, comparing prices, designs and styles, trying out a dozen varieties and then finally zeroing in on “the one ”....Ah! the satisfaction and sheer bliss of it all, even if “the one” in question is as small as a ear-ring... any true-blue woman worth her shopping will vouch for that !
Like all other aspects of “what women love”, this one also continues to remain an enigma to the opposite sex. They seem to complain that shopping is all about “much ado about nothing!”
Well, it better be.. 'coz you can't expect a woman to go to a shop she's been buying from over the last decade, pick up something in “ her favourite blue” and in “checks”, pay the bill and walk right out.... can you ?
